raptureWhen is the end of this current age?  After many years of research, the conclusion was reached that the time of the end of this age could be determined to the exact day.  This is based on an understanding of the message the Angel delivered to Daniel called the 70 week prophecy

An article was then published on the Five Doves website in 2003, sharing these findings. This article was followed in 2004 with a book further explaining and expanding on these findings.  Note, this arrived at date should not to be confused with the end of days nor the end of the world.

Rapture Watch
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:36

We should be following the Bible's advice to be constantly and faithfully watching for the Rapture and to pray that we may be accounted worthy to escape the times of great tribulation that will follow the Rapture.  To fulfill this command to watch, stay current, and be encouraged by others, consider daily reading and becoming a part of a Rapture Watch online group such as 5 Doves.  But be sure to read all things with discernment.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.  Matthew 10:16

End Of Age Watch

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  I Corinthians 2:14

EndOfAge.com has been online now for over a decade.  Its main purpose, as the name implies, has been to watch for the end of this current age.  This has involved examining current events and matching them up with prophecies found throughout the Holy Bible.  The objective has been to watch and determine which ones have been fulfilled, are being fulfilled, and are about to be fulfilled.

In 2003, after extensive research, there was enough evidence to come to the conclusion that the Holy Bible appeared to predict this current age would end on September 23, 2015.  (The end of this age is not doomsday, the end of days, nor the end of the world.  The end of this age is actually a joyous day, which will mark the return of the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, to reign and rule 1,000 years, which is called the Millennium.)

While on the surface it may seem ridiculous that such an exact date for the end of this age could be determined from Bible prophecy, this date should not be dismissed out of hand without first examining all of the evidence.  An article reporting and explaining these findings was posted on the end-times website
5 Doves on October 8, 2003.  That article is available below:

Passion, Power & Glory -  Watching for the Return of the King of Kings

For those who do not click on the link to read the article, the date
September 23, 2015, was arrived at simply by adding a total of 49 years to Jersusalem Unification day in understanding to fulfill part of Daniel's 70-week prophecy.  (These are explained in the article as being prophetic or 360-day years, not Gregorian or solar years.  The current Gregorian calendar did not exist 2,500 years ago during the days of Daniel.)  For those who did read the article, the following sentence will be found near the end of this article:

I will also leave it to others to subtract 7 years from September 23, 2015 if so desired.

Now we know from the book of Revelation that there will be three principal players, the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet:

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  Revelation 16:13

We also know that the dragon goes by three other names as well within Revelation, the serpent, the devil, and satan:

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  Revelation 12:9

We also know in the end they will all be defeated:

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  Revelation 20:10

Revelation "reveals" there will be three main actors on the world stage at the time of the end of this age when Jesus Christ returns.  It also reveals there will be four main actors that will ride one after another, taking us to the end of this age.  Their story can be found in Revelation 6.  The story of the four horsemen.  The first horseman, for many reasons believed to be Napoleon Bonaparte, has already ridden.  The second horseman, Adolph Hitler, has also already ridden.  That leaves the third and fourth horsemen.  These two deserve special attention.  They appear to be the main two of the three final players, namely the beast as the third horseman, followed by the dragon, the fourth horseman.  The false prophet's role may have only been to prepare the way for the beast.  Just as John the Baptist said that he must decrease so Jesus Christ could increase.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.  Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.  He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.  He must increase, but I must decrease.  John 3:27-30

Now let's examine the timeline from the end of the times of the Gentiles on June 7, 1967, as marked by Jerusalem no longer trodden under foot by the Gentiles, to September 23, 2015, the expected end of the current age when Jesus Christ returns to the Mount of Olives to establish His 1,000 year reign.

49
              Countdown

The Bible talks about a "beast" who will be given power for 3.5 prophetic (360-day) years which translates to 42 prophetic (30-day) months which translates to 1260 days.

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.  Revelation 13:5

Revelation, Chapter 13, describes two beasts and one dragon, the unholy trinity.  One of these beasts is THE BEAST, spoken of later, and one of these beasts is revealed later in Revelation as the false prophet.  This false prophet plays the false "John the Baptist" role, preparing the way for the anti-Messiah.  Which leaves us the other beast who will be the anti-messiah and play the false "saviour of the world" role.

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.  Luke 12:26-28

Also, consider if the first beast of Revelation 13:5 is the one who is given power to continue for 42 months, then hasn't he already received power?  Consider the players on the World Stage today.  Who are those that can be described in asking, who is able to make war against him?

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?  Revelation 13:4

Let's now look at another member of the unholy trinity.  Reviewing the last 7 years, we see analogies in the Bible of a separation between the first two years and the last five.  Remember Joseph, son of Jacob/Israel?  Joseph is considered a type of Jesus. Genesis starts with the fall of Adam but ends with the salvation of Jacob/Israel and all his family through Joseph.  In fact, 40% of the chapters in Genesis, from Chapter 30 to 50, are devoted to the story of Joseph.

When Joseph is 30 years old, he is put in charge of Egypt, 2nd only to Pharaoh. There were to be seven plentiful years followed by seven famine years for a total of 14 years.  Now for the application to the present.  Counting back from September 23, 2015, 14 years, we arrive in September, 2001 starting really with the pivotal event on 9/11 which woke America.  The following 7 years were plentiful years with America rallying and even attacking and subduing what it perceived as its greatest terrorist threat.

Now what would we expect out of the false Christ?  Well, the main thing we would expect is that he would want to upstage the true christ!  And what is the next event event to happen regarding the true christ, Jesus Christ?  Well, of course, the Rapture, when Jesus Christ returns for His Bride, to take her back for the Marriage of the Lamb!

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  Matthew 25:1

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  Revelation 19:7

Now Jesus Christ was around 30 years of age when he began his ministry.

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.  And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,  Luke 3:22-23

And Joseph was 30 years of age when he began his "ministry".

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.   Genesis 41:45

Following this article, more indepth research was conducted using the end of this age date of 9/23/2015, culminating in a book which was published in September of 2004.  This book also worked backwards to show how one could arrive at possible Rapture dates and time lengths for this current age and generation.

Passion, Power, & Glory - Watching for the Prince of Peace

Although further research since that time points to instead of the death of Jesus Christ for the timing of a generation and subsequently 42 generations, but to the birth of Christ.  And instead of focusing on the week before the death of Christ for the ending of the 7+62 weeks of Daniel based on Sir Robert Anderson, the focus again should be on the 62 weeks of Daniel and the birth of Christ.  A focus that the Magi understood.

At this point, we should probably define better what we mean by the end of this age.  It is nothing less than the Second Coming of Jesus Christ when He touches down upon the Mount of Olives to establish His 1,000 year millennial kingdom.  This is believed to be a different event, although related, from the end of the "Times of the Gentiles" which is believed to have come to an end on June 7, 1967.  On this date the nation of Israel sovereignly controlled Jerusalem for the first time since, well at least from the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.  For as it is recorded:

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.  Luke 21:24

For a brief overview on how September 23, 2015 can be deduced from a Bible prophecy well over 2500 years old, let us first bring up the relevant verse found in Daniel, the 27th book of the Christian Old Testament.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  Daniel 9:25

We know there was a first coming of Jesus Christ.  He is believed to have have been conceived and born around 5 BC, This is based on current research that Herod the Great died either the last part of March or the first part of April in 4 BC and that the decree of Caesar Augustus for taxation and census appears to have been in 6 BC.  Regardless of the actual date though, there was a first coming of Jesus Christ.  And the wise men from Persia/Babylon, the Magi, familiar and learned in the prophecies of Daniel, as Daniel lived in Babylon, knew when to show up for His first coming.  In addition, Jesus Christ promised that He would come again, a second coming.

Going back to scripture, we have two time periods mentioned in Daniel 9:25, 7 weeks, and 62 weeks.  Daniel 9:25 may have implicitly hid that there would be two comings of the Messiah the Prince if you add the 7 weeks and 62 weeks together.  However, the Magi properly understood the separation as they showed up at the birth of Jesus Christ.  They showed up 62 weeks after Nehemiah was given permission by the King of Persia/Babylon to permanently leave and rebuild Jerusalem.  This was following the initial temporary leaving and rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem.  Now, properly parsing Daniel 9:25 to separate the two comings of Christ we have:

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to RESTORE Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be SEVEN WEEKS”

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to BUILD Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be THREESCORE AND TWO WEEKS.”

The word translated "week" comes from a Hebrew/Chaldean word that literally meaning "sevened".  The generally accepted "sevened" in this particular verse is that of a period of time of a "year".  And it is believed the Persian / Chaldean calendar at the time of Daniel contained 360 days per "year".  That this is the proper definition of a "year" is born witness by the 27th book of the New Testament, in previous times known as "The Apocalypse of John the Disciple" but in modern times simply by the name, "Revelation".  In "Revelation", we see time, times, and half a time, or 3 1/2 "years", equated with 42 "months", which is equated with 1260 days.  Doing the math, a "year" comes out to 360 days while a "month" comes out to 30 days.  But continuing:

The command to RESTORE Jerusalem to Israel was given to the Israeli troops early on the morning of June 7, 1967 after Israel had been attacked the previous day.  Israel was able to secure Jerusalem on June 7, 1967, and restore it to herself.  That self-same day, according to Luke 21:24, the "Times of the Gentiles" was fulfilled.

Now adding SEVEN WEEKS or 49 "years" of 360 days to 6/7/1967 we arrive at exactly September 23, 2015.  This date just happens to fall on the Jewish calendar on the most sacred day of the year, the 10th day of the 7th month, what is called the Head of the Year, Yom Kippur.  This most sacred day is naturally when the Messiah is expected to return, regardless of year.  So we have a confirmation arriving at exactly the right day, the most sacred day of the whole year!
